We HEART Mom Printable Coloring Banner

SDB We HEART Mom and Dad banner_beauty with glitter punch ribbon

In my ongoing effort to maintain my status as #1 Aunt, it is vital to have a handbag filled with projects, markers, crayons, glue dots, paper punches and the like… Just last week we had a dinner date with some of our favorite kiddos and I brought along this sign for them to color.

"What are we crafting today, Aunt Dan?" Ahhh music to my ears...

"Aunt Dan, I brought my own markers to use" (YES!!)

Growing up, coloring was one of my favorite activities and its still quite a satisfying activity at this age. Said to “ease stress and calm one’s inner child”, adult coloring books are making their mark these days as a relaxing and wonderful outlet for creative and relaxing time.

Amanda and I couldn't resist taking a banner triangle for ourselves. Very soothing activity. Especially when paired with a nice SuperTuscan!

Banners are still having their festive moment. This one is simple with a lot of room for coloring interpretation…

Cut out triangles using an exact knife or sharp scissors. Use a hole punch to punch 2 holes at each triangle corner.

You will need 2 pages to print this banner. I used a medium weight cardstock but you can certainly use paper. A lighter color or craft paper would add a fun element to coloring. To download the first page of the banner, click here: We heart Mom Banner WE HEART  and the second page is here: We heart Mom Banner MOM  Print a few! One for you, one for the kiddos… Look for our follow up for DAD coming soon!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful Mom’s out there! Wishing you a fun and festive day filled with relaxing activities (and maybe a few glasses of SuperTuscan)! Xo Dani

Happy Easter and Spring Cookie & Candy Centerpiece

SDB Easter Spring Cookie Candy Centerpiece_ Beauty Shot lr

We have had so much fun working on these cookie and candy centerpieces this year (see January and February’s centerpieces here and here) we just had to create one for Easter and Spring!

After baking and icing our new petite bunny and fox cookies and arranging them with our Spring tree I knew these would be great together.

Gather your cookies and candy. Since we used a smaller fishbowl for this centerpiece, we are using a few strings of rock candy, jellybeans and candy eggs.

I like the way the bird on the tree peeks up out of the bowl in this case, but you could always use a larger bowl for a different effect. If you are using and serving these on Easter Day, you can prep these candy bowl centerpieces the day before then cover the top with plastic wrap to keep your cookies fresh! Hippity Hop these are cute! Your favorite little bunnies are sure to eat them up! Life is Sweet! Xo Dani
