Everybody knows how much I love a good dance party, so it should be no surprise that I am a proud Swiftie (For those who do not know the lingo: huge Taylor Swift fan)! I will keep the gushing to a minimum here but to sum it up I requested one song only at the last wedding we went to, it was “Shake it Off”, and I practically knocked my newly married sister-in-law over on my way running to the dance floor! So, when Roe Francesca, wife of the famous and amazing Mike Francesca, asked me to do cookies for her daughter’s 10th birthday party I couldn’t say “Yes, please!” fast enough.
Of course no ordinary cookie cutter would do for this assignment so I emailed my fairy cookie Mother, Beth Braman of CopperGifts.com and we promptly designed two new cookie cutters based on the idea of a singer and a rock star guitar player. Yes!!!
It was not easy to decide which fashion forward Taylor Swift outfit we we would be icing. Since Emily met Taylor at the Jingle Ball, I decided we had to go with her amazing plaid pant on stage look. The guitar cookie inspiration was one of her looks from her VH1 Storytellers show… Obviously that glitter guitar of hers was not something I could pass up! With the cookie cutters hot off the cookie press, I got right to work…
Happy Birthday Emily! I hope you had the most amazing day celebrating! Thank You for such a fun cookie assignment!
And… Dear Taylor Swift, If you are reading this by any chance, hit me up if you’d ever like to BAKE BAKE BAKE together! I hear you are a very talented baker already… my only request is that we dance in between cookie drying time. Life is Sweet! Xo Dani
