We shot our Halloween 14 cookie how-to videos last week and while they are being edited I thought it would be fun to show you who we will be celebrating Halloween with this year…
Inspired by the NJ Zombie Walk and, more specifically, my favorite Zombie from last year’s parade (see him on Instagram). I had such a fun time attending the parade and just being in town for this crazy, spooky event! This year we took Dr. Zombie out on the town with us- super fun! This cookie character is made with our Mr. Bones cookie cutter.
This cat is made using our Foxy Fox cookie cutter. Thanks to our cookie friends on social media who also pointed out that our fox cookie cutter would make a super sweet cat. We also have a cat in the family named LooLoo that looks very much like this cookie friend- especially around the eyes!
Inspired by a Halloween greeting card and the Fall version of this cookie that we did last year… I could not resist creating these Goblin Trees using our Partridge in a Pear Tree cookie cutter. Of all of the things that scare me on Halloween, or on any given quiet night, it is wondering who or what might be hiding behind the tree down the street (Thanks, Halloween the movie!)
You didn’t think we were done hugging it out after Valentine’s Day did you? We love our Hug Monster cookie cutter so much, we could not wait to decorate him for Halloween. This monster was inspired by my love for googly eyes and this adorable cookie that I pinned on Pinterest.
Like some art, this hug monster was actually inspired by the materials. CopperGifts sent me these absolutely amazing sugar bones and they practically jumped right onto this cookie. Its so easy to decorate it barely needs a how-to (but we will blog one for you anyway)!
We are always looking for fun and new ways to decorate our signature Owl… we will always hold a special place in our heart for this sweet feathered character since he was the first cookie cutter we ever designed with our friends at CopperGifts! Look for our owl blog coming up as well as our Pinterest Owl inspiration board. We’d also love to see how you decorate your owl cookies!
I so appreciate all our fans and friends who have “joined in the cookie fun” over the past few years. Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays and this year I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to come up with some new characters while using some of the cookie cutters we have already designed. Hopefully you have some of these cutters already and if you don’t I promise you won’t regret purchasing one or two. With a bit of easy care, you will have them forever and we will always be looking for new ways to update and decorate them.
Halloween how-to’s coming up next! Happy happy October! Xo Dani
