Rainbow Dance Party

SDB Rainbow Dance Party_Bette Mary Cate with signs

Some party themes come together easier than others and in the case of Bette Kane’s 3rd Birthday, “Rainbow Dance Party” just kind of developed and kept rolling! We could have went on and on with this theme… Inspired by one of her favorite stuffed animals (a unicorn) and her love for singing and dancing (Fresh Beat Band!) this theme had all the best elements for a great party.

In the days before the party, big brother Donovan punched bags of heart confetti in rainbow colors.

In the days before the party, big brother Donovan helped out by using a heart punch to make heart confetti in a rainbow of colors. We sprinkled the confetti everywhere.

We added these festive streamers from Target to the Happy Birthday banner Amanda bought to use for their annual birthday celebrations.

Bette wasn't feeling the rainbow colors that day but in the invite we asked all the guests to dress in colors of the rainbow.

My largest group shot to date with everybody arranged in colors of the rainbow! Love it!

My largest group shot to date (33 people!) with everybody arranged in colors of the rainbow! Love it! As you can see, blue was the most popular color that people wore. (Interesting!)

We set up 2 activities for the kids... the DIY party hat table featured blank hats with foam stickers, googly eyes and bubbles.

The sweets table featured Amanda's famous chocolate chip cookies, confetti bars, M&Ms in rainbow colors and a rainbow cake by Carrie at Goodie Box Bake shop. I decorated the cake with unicorn, and rainbow cookies as well as some sugar hearts.
