Celebrations & Parties Dani's Blog: THE JUICE

Bunny Brunch

KF and I are very much looking forward to taking a road trip for Easter this year, but we didn’t want to miss out on seeing our favorite “little bunnies” celebrate the holiday and the beginning of Spring (I will ignore the snow we woke up to this morning) so we hosted a lil’ Bunny Brunch this past weekend. Here’s some photos of the fun we had…

I know tulips are really the flower of Easter but I just can never resist a good bunch of sunflowers. We set the table with a mix of plates and glasses for the adults and sussy party plates and cups for the kiddos.

We kept the menu simple… fresh squeezed juice mimosas, homemade granola with two kinds of yogurt (my fave and KF’s fave- can you guess which is which?), a fresh fruit salad, hard boiled Heirloom eggs with some fun salt choices and bagels. (At 41, bagels have become a “sometime food” for me so I was very excited about this!)

Nomi and Ruby snagged me taste teasing the mimosas. We made them with a mix of navel and blood oranges.

Let's discuss the cookie board... Nomi made the ever delicious NY Times chocolate chip cookies, Nicole brought her favorite pink shortbread hearts and I made dark chocolate "oreos". Mmmmmm...

Bette was as excited about the bagels as I was. She looks adorable in her bunny hat! I made them using blank paper party hats and glitter scrapbooking paper.

After lunch we got right to crafting. Here's KF working on his bunny mask. I bought the blank masks at Michaels.

All that crafting tuckered out the little ones! While they napped we set up a group shot where everyone wore either their bunny mask or a bunny hat. (Um, Kevin Kane, I see you!)

What a “hoppy” day!

I hope you all have a beautiful Easter weekend. It’s days like this I realize how lucky we are to have such amazing family and friends… Love like that is always the biggest inspiration. Xo Dani
