All About the B! Barron’s 1st Birthday Bash

I was so immediately inspired by Carrie’s “All About the B” Birthday theme for her son, Barron, that the doodle I did while we were chatting and brainstorming, became the image for the Evite and favor container stickers! Centered around the first letter of his name, the Barron’s theme encompassed birthday, BBQ, bash, balloon, beer (for adults), balls, blow-pops, bubbles, buckets… Here’s the love filled details of B’s 1st Birthday…

I scanned my doodle and colored it up in Photoshop. This became the image Carrie used on the Evite as well as the stickers used on the kiddos favor buckets

SDB B Theme Birthday_Butterscotchies cookie platter
I loved watching these B cookies come to life with the help of sugar googly eyes and a food doodler. I also attached red fondant hats (striped with a food doodler) with a line of icing to the back of the cookie. Here they are atop a platter of my Butterscotchies- double yum! I left a few without mouths because I could not decide which was cuter. What do you think?

Here’s Mr. B cookie peeking out of the kid’s favor Buckets- also filled with bubbles, a ball and a blow-pop! Yes!!!
Cake toppers waiting for placement- it was so hot, I made a second ballon topper just in case!
Cake toppers waiting for placement… it was so hot, I made 2 ballon toppers just in case since I already had the first break during icing. Since I knew it had that perfect spot at the bottom to add the ribbon, I used CopperGifts hot air balloon cutter to make the balloon cookie.
I used red vellum to layer the birthday banner hoping it would catch the sun and create a bit of a glow.
