2012Looking Ahead with Mr. Bones
The only way I can keep myself from being totally depressed on the day after Labor Day is to look ahead to the Holidays. Halloween comes first of coarse, followed quickly by another favorite of mine, Día de los Muertos. Since I love the romantic idea of this holiday, last year I decided to make us a special dinner to celebrate and I used my Mr. Bones cookie cutter to make cookies and a fun centerpiece.

I have always loved Day of the Dead Bride & Groom images and sculptures so I was very excited to make us as cookie bride and groom. I would totally go in this dress and headpiece direction if we ever renew our vows!
So, if you, like me, are looking ahead to the Holidays, I hope these cookies inspire you. Day of the Dead is a great theme for a dinner party. Meanwhile, this weekend I picked up some Halloween craft supplies and some Funkins to carve. I’m dusting off my collection of Martha Living Halloween issues and eagerly awaiting this year’s October issue. Of coarse we will have a lot more to come with Mr. Bones, the Dapper Zombie and My Mummy… before we know it- Santa will be on the way!
Happy Post Labor Day to all! Xo Dani
